Name Game

Name Games are a fun way for you and your new class to get to know each other at the start of the year. Here's a fun one that you may like to try.
Standing in a circle (or sitting at desks if you prefer) ask each child to perform an action or make an expression that starts with the first letter of their name.

Here are some examples:
Jumping Jane
Tall Tom
Sad Suki
Merry Mitesh

You can also turn this into a memory game! Everytime someone new starts they have to repeat the names and actions of everyone who went before them. The only thing is the last person has to try and remember the names and actions of the whole class! But - it's great fun because the children usually find this funny.
