"Simon
Says"
(with a spelling twist)
Play
"Simon Says" but get the Children to spell the word out as you
play.
For example:
Teacher: "Simon Says" wave your hands.
Teacher: H-A-N-D spells HAND.
Children: [repeat altogether] H-A-N-D spells HAND.
It is better to use hard letter sounds for this (in otherwords don't use
words like knee). Words that will work are: head, leg, hand, lip.
