Feely Game

You will need:

1) A tray
2) Some objects that are interesting and distinctive to touch
(e.g. sponge, large shell, hairbrush ...)
3) A tea towel to cover the objects and tray.

How to play the game

Ask one of the pupils to come up and put their hand under the tea towel. Give them an object making sure that the towel still covers their hand and object. Neither they nor the class are allowed to see what the object is.

The child must feel the chosen object and describe it to the class - even if they have guessed what it is!

The aim is to describe acurately enough what the object feels like so that the class can try to guess what the object is.

Before the game begins you may want to discuss and write some descriptive words on the board to encourage the children to use a wide variety of adjectives!
