French Tongue-Twisters

How can you get your pupils to practise their pronunciation, learn some extra vocab and have a bit of fun in class at the same time? Easy! Try a few tongue-twisters with them from time to time at the end of lessons.

In case you can't think of any off the top of your head, here are a few to start you off:

Un généreux déjeuner régénérait deux généraux dégénérés.

Seize jacinthes sèches dans seize sachets secs.

Des blancs pains, des bancs peints, des bains pleins.

Pruneau cuit, pruneau cru.

Trois petites truites crues.

Ces six saucissons-ci sont si secs qu'on ne sait si c'en sont.

Trois tortues trottaient sur un trottoir très étroit.
