Learning 'être' verbs

Here is a little poem to help your pupils memorise which verbs take être in the perfect tense.

Aller, venir, entrer, sortir,
Monter, descendre, arriver, partir,
Tomber, rester, mourir, naître
Forment le parfait avec être.
